Chiropractic Care
In our office, we believe in a holistic approach to treating patients. Our focus is on removing physical, chemical, and emotional stresses that cause irritation to the patient’s body. It is not only important to adjust the spine, but also to focus on the surrounding soft tissue that causes the symptoms of pain.
About Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic is the treatment of the spine and nervous system. The nervous system is the driving force for every organ, cell, and tissue in the body. Therefore, when the nervous system is compromised, so is the body’s health and wellness. Dr. Brown will find where the nervous system is being irritated and remove that nerve interference through spinal adjustments. These adjustments, will also restore proper joint positioning which helps prevent further damage and deterioration to the spine (arthritis).
On your initial visit, Dr. Brown will utilize equipment that allows you to see how your body is working against itself due to muscle imbalance and neurological irritation. And formulate a treatment plan based on your current health, chronic conditions and health goals. This plan may include the use of cold laser therapy, IASTM, spinal decompression and more.
Along with spinal adjustments, we believe it is important to retrain the body’s poor posture and weak core muscles. To help the body become more stable, Dr. Brown may use customized stretches, massage therapy, and more to help patients in their healing process and improve their long-term quality of life.

Kinesiology Tape
Kinesiology Tape also known as KT Tape helps reduce pressure to the tissue and may reduce discomfort or pain. Correct taping also provides support to muscles by improving the muscle’s ability to contract, even when it is weak, and helps the muscle to not over-extend or over-contract.

IASTM
IASTM is the abbreviation for Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and is a manual therapy approach to musculoskeletal injuries using specifically designed tools that help to create a controlled inflammatory process, which allows the tissue to begin the healing process, breaking down scare tissue in troubled areas and speed up the recovery process.

Soft Tissue Flossing
Soft tissue flossing uses rubber bands to apply pressure over muscles and joints to help reduce pain, swelling, increase range of motion, and reduce healing time. This technique is great for strain/sprains and chronic extremity pain such as golfers elbow, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, and knee pain.

Dry Needling
Dry Needling differs from acupuncture and uses acupuncture needles that are inserted directly into the muscle, tendon, and ligament. This can reduce pain, inflammation, healing time and increase mobility. This treatment is great for chronic and acute injuries and issues.

Spinal Decompression
